Founded in 1989, TXT e-solutions [http://www.txtgroup.com/] is an international software products and solutions vendor and leader in “Strategic Enterprise Solutions” in the industrial and media sectors. The company has been listed on the Italian Stock Exchange – STAR segment (TXT IM) since July 2000.

TXT has its headquarter in Milan, Italy, and growing branch offices in Italy (Genoa, Turin, Bari, Rome, Perugia, Vicenza), France (Paris and Lyon), Spain (Barcelona), Germany (Chemnitz and Halle), UK (London), the Netherlands (Bussum) and the United States (New York). Thanks to a highly qualified and motivated staff of about 600 people, 90% of which are graduated, the 2009 turnover exceeds 50 million euro.

TXT is a technology intensive Company, offering to its customers complete solutions, based upon kernel products, high-level competence on enabling, innovative IT and specific know-how in a number of application domains. TXT acts on the market through three business areas, based on operating compatibility and technological synergy:

  • TXT PERFORM: suite of proprietary software solutions for Supply Chain Management specialized in Fashion & Luxury, Specialty Retail, Consumer Goods, Discrete Manufacturing sectors; the suite comprises solutions for demand and assortment planning, retail management, production planning, product development, supply-chain planning and logistics for medium-to-large companies.
  • TXT Polymedia: products and services for Media & Channel Integration for broadcasters, media and telco operators; The proprietary platform TXTPolymedia™ is currently Italy #1 solution in leading edge media industries for Multimedia Content multi-channel acquisition and delivery.
  • TXT Next: advanced software systems for Aerospace & Defence (real-time, safety-critical, embedded systems in domain such as avionics, defense, medical equipment, and utilities), Banking & Finance (advanced solutions for the B&F sector, mainly in the field of home banking, knowledge management and corporate portals) and High Tech Manufacturing.

TXT is specialized in the most dynamic and agile markets with the highest degree of innovation and renewal that require state-of-the art solutions, where process and business play a fundamental role in growing and competiveness. To answer customer’s needs TXT has always invested in technology and in business processes innovation, making this a cornerstone on which to build its success. Research and Development plays therefore a primary role in TXT; in 2009 13% of revenues was spent in R&D to benefit all the business lines.

The CRS TXT Division (Corporate Research and Innovation) is in charge of medium-to-long term research activities and has been active in several collaboration projects at Regional, National and European level concerning the following strategic research tracks:

  • Software and Service Engineering (European projects MOMOCS and TEAM)
  • Extended Products Identification and Tracking, Internet of Things, Privacy & Security (European projects iSURF, GEMOM; SHIELDS, OpenGarment, TIPPS, NMP K-FLOW, CONCLORE STREP, LEAPFROG CA/IP)
