Architecture
Service Manager: Asunción Gómez-Pérez
The reference framework has two major goals:
- To develop a reference architecture for building semantic applications to be envisioned as a set of specifications, software components and metrics that allow a fast and reliable development of semantic-based applications. Our mission will be to provide to IT companies and software developers the mechanisms needed to easily develop and deploy semantic applications that help solving their current problems.
- To define inter-relationships with other established and commonly used IT software architectures (i.e., S-OGSA) and platforms (NESSI) to facilitate the use of the semantic components previously identified inside such architectures and platforms.
Since the use of semantic is an added value and should not be considered as an overhead in companies, we propose a non-intrusive strategy, which minimizes the impact (changes) in the existing IT systems. |
