STIA, Vator & Semanticweb.com Announce the Call For Entries for the 2nd Annual SemTech Start-Up Competition

The program will identify the best-of-breed startups in the Semantic Technology and Semantic Web Space.

STIA, Vator and Semanticweb.com (a division of WebMediaBrands Inc., Nasdaq: WEBM) are seeking to identify and recognize promising start-ups in the SemTech and SemWeb space. STIA, Vator, & Semanticweb.com are hosting its 2nd Annual 2011 SemTech Start-Up Competition, which is currently accepting entrants from midnight April 15th until May 15th, 2011. The winner will receive an overall prize package totaling over $12,000.

The Semantic Technology Conference (#SemTech) is the world’s largest conference on the commercialization of semantic technologies, bringing the most recognized names, knowledge, leadership, and innovation in the semantic community together.

Seed Stage Companies, FP7 Projects, NSF Funded Projects and University Projects encouraged to apply are those with a demonstrable “beta” product in the SemTech and or SemWeb space. Companies and projects can be located anywhere but must have the financial means to attend SemTech 2011.
