Semantic Web ServicesService Manager: John DomingueAccording to many predictions, soon all software over a certain size will be developed using a SOA based approach. Within this area, we will investigate how Semantics can support the development of SOA based applications. In particular, we will explore how Semantics can support the tasks of service location, invocation, composition, orchestration, choreography, and mediation. We will stress the fact that our frameworks and support tools should be easy to use and should link to current and emerging Web technologies (such as Web 2.0). Thus we will endeavour to create implementation platforms and to deploy these in real world settings. |
