STI Research also offers consultancy and technology uptake support for the wider enterprise community to ensure that semantic technology moves from academia into industry.

Our objective is to push enterprise uptake of semantic technology, and bring semantics into key application areas to the benefit of business activities and daily life. We will address the key stakeholders, including policy makers and leading industry R&D groups who are active in the emerging application fields we identify as potential adopters of semantic technologies. We will also focus on SMEs who often act as primary drivers of business innovation and market disruption. We will implement various aspects of industry support for semantic technology uptake:

• Supporting focus groups within the STI community, involving also external experts and innovation leaders, to drive semantic technology uptake in key verticals;
• Market surveys, roadmapping, trend monitoring, and technology white papers driven by STI and the vertical focus groups;
• Provision of demonstrators which serve as high impact showcases to industry and stakeholders;
• Consultancy and technology transfer offers.
