OASIS - Semantic Execution Environment TC |
OASIS Semantic Execution Environment (SEE) Technical Committee develops a reference architecture for semantically enabled SOA technologies. The aim is to provide a harmonized and extensible software architecture for building SOA systems that employ semantic techniques for semi-automated discovery, selection, composition, mediation, and execution of Web services. The results of the TC are:
- Semantic Web Services Architecture and Information Model (Specification)
- Execution Semantics for Semantics-Enabled Systems (Specification)
- Technical Reports and White Papers

The Rule Interchange Format (RIF) Working Group works towards W3C Recommendations for Semantic Web rule languages that allow the interchange of rule definitions among various logical formalisms. The finalization of the work is planned for summer of 2009. |
W3C - SAWSDL Recommendation |

Semantic Annotations for WSDL and XML Schema is a W3C Recommendation for amending the WSDL-descriptions of Web Services. It is based on the concept of model references: the meaning of a WSDL element is explicitly defined in additional tags that refer to an semantic specification, e.g. to an external ontology. The Recommendation has been published in August 2007. |
