Ever wanted to know more about something in a video? ConnectME makes it possible!

The ConnectME project made its first public demo this month at the I-SEMANTICS conference in Graz. We showed how a video could be annotated online easily in our HTML5 based annotation tool and then played out with a dynamically generated content enrichment in our HTML5 based hypervideo player. Using a numeric keypad to simulate a TV remote control, users can easily pause the main video to see more about the concepts mentioned in the video such as places, activities, or services. Additional information includes textual descriptions, related photos, maps and links to Web pages where for example a service like a hotel room can be directly reserved. SEE THE VIDEO DEMO BELOW

ConnectME is now turning to porting its innovative video enrichment suite to mobile and SmartTV so that enriched video can be brought to living rooms and jeans pockets. Stay tuned for more!
