Program Chairs

Lyndon Nixon, STI International - Senior Researcher with almost 10 years experience in
research and project work - Lyndon Nixon has co-organized 14 workshops since 2005 on
various topics, including Enterprise X.0 at BIS 2009, Semantic Technology Adoption Results
at ASWC 2008 and First Industrial Results of Semantic Technologies at ISWC 2007. He has
also been a conference co-chair and served on the organizing committee of ESWC 2010,
ESTC 2009, ESWC 2009, ASWC 2008, ISWC 2007 and ESWC 2006.

Sergio Gusmeroli, TXT – Technical Manager of the COIN Project - Sergio Gusmeroli was
born in Sondrio (Italy) in 1961, he worked for CISE Tecnologie Innovative (1987-1989), for
FIAR SpA Space Division (1989-1991), for FIAR Group (1992-1995). In July 1995 he joined
TXT Ingegneria Informatica, where he has been since then Project Manager in a number of
commercial and R&D Projects. He is author of more than 30 publications in Italian and
International magazines and conferences. Since June 2000, he is head of the Corporate
Research Unit and operating manager of TXT EU funded projects. His main areas of
competence and experience include e-Business, Interoperability, Collaboration, Internet of
Things and Business Process Management technologies. Sergio is now Technical Coordinator
of the European Commission FP7 ICT COIN Integrated Project, COllaboration and
INteroperability for networked enterprises, which started in January 2008 with a public
funding of 10 M EUR and a duration of 48 months.

Michele Missikof, IASI-CNR - Michele Missikoff is the Director of Research at IASI
(Istituto di Analisi dei Sistemi ed Informatica) of National Research Council, and Coordinator
of LEKS: Lab for Enterprise Knowledge and Systems since 1999. Scientific Director of the
European laboratory on Enterprise Interoperability, Interop-VLab, has a long experience in
European projects, both in eBusiness and eGovernment. Elected member of the National
Steering Committee for Information Science and Technology, from 1992 to 1997. He has
been member of several international journals editorial Board, including VLDB Journal, and
co-founder of EDBT Conference series. Past-president of EDBT Endowment, he has
organised numerous conferences and workshops. He has published more than 150 technical
and scientific papers, the majority of which on international journals and conference
proceedings.His main research interest are on: semantic technologies and ontologies, semantic
interoperability, conceptual modeling, workflows and business process modeling, knowledge
bases and object-oriented systems. Recently he has concentrated his activities on semantic
search engines and ontology building methods.

Publicity Chair

Graham Hench, STI International – Graham Hench is a scientific coordinator at STI
International where his primary responsibilities include the networking and coordination
activities lead by STI International, particularly through his involvement in several
international projects (e.g. COIN, LarKc, SOA4All, Service Web 3.0) and European
initiatives (e.g. Future Internet, Internet of Services). He has spent the past years heavily
involved in Future Internet activities, supporting several working groups (e.g. FI Service
Offer, Internet of Services Semantic Technology and Ontologies Technical Group),
networking sessions (e.g. ICT Event 2008 - Towards a Future Internet of Services and
Software-as-as-Service: Towards a Semantic SOA), and conferences (e.g. the Future Internet
Symposium). His most recent work focuses on further enriching STI International’s
contribution towards the realization of the Future Internet vision.
