ESWC 2014 will feature twelve thematic research tracks (see below) and an in-use and industrial track. Submissions of interdisciplinary research papers, covering more than one thematic track, are also encouraged. In addition, the in-use and industrial track will provide an opportunity for dialogue and discussion on industrial applications, tools, deployment experiences, case studies and usage analysis.

The European Data Forum, is a meeting place for industry, research, policymakers and community initiatives to discuss the challenges of the emerging Data Economy (Linked Open Data, Big Data, business models, etc.).

The European Data Forum Steering Committee solicits Expressions of Interest (EoI) to act as local host/organizer of the upcoming European Data Forum 2014.

The poster track of the ESWC2013 will provide an opportunity for presenting late-breaking results, ongoing research projects, and speculative or innovative work in progress. Posters are intended to provide authors and participants with the ability to connect with each other and to engage in discussions about the work.

The ESWC2013 PhD Symposium will take place as part of the ESWC 2013 in Montpellier, France. This event aims at providing PhD students with an opportunity for presenting their PhD work, receiving feedback from experienced researchers of the Semantic Web community and for establishing contacts with PhD students from other institutions. We also plan a tutorial on successful scientific paper writing. The symposium is targeted at students doing their PhD in the Semantic Web area or adjacent topics.
