CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

Workshops in FIS2010 will complement the symposium by providing a forum for active discussions and exchange of ideas focused on cross-domain issues related to the Future Internet. The purpose of the workshops will be to provide an informal setting for attendees, potentially affiliated to different Internet disciplines to discuss scientific and technical issues, share experiences, and to lay the foundations for the establishment of the cross-domain research community which will shape the Future Internet research agenda.

CALL FOR TUTORIALS

In addition to the regular research and workshop program, FIS2010 aims to feature a tutorial program that complements the main conference by providing state-of-the-art background material and addresses the interests of practitioners that wish to learn new technologies. Tutorials may be either for a full day or a half day, and should cover topics related to the Future Internet. We encourage organizers to incorporate hands-on sessions where appropriate.

1^st Workshop on Enterprise Service Web (ESW 2010)

in conjunction with
13th International Conference on Business Information Systems (BIS 2010)

This workshop aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners to share their experiences and their vision on the challenges that have to be faced to adopt services in industry, with the aim to establish a community around Enterprise Service Web technologies that will drive research in this area and its still open challenges. We intend to feed the workshop results into a report that will be presented to the Future Internet activity on Services and Architectures (http://services.future-internet.eu).

The workshop is intended to foster a culture of co-operation between the different actors in the community, namely, researchers who want to gain insight in the limits of a technology by its evaluation, developers who want to benchmark their tools to stay up with competitors, and users who need to take decisions on the application and usage of semantic technologies based on evaluation results.

News from the Front: Latest Results from EU Projects

News from the Front is intended to facilitate knowledge sharing and matchmaking between EU-funded projects (any instrument from any unit) which are currently running and have meaningful results to share with the community. As such, we will accept submissions only from projects which have been active for at least 6 months and will not conclude before June 2010.
